Just got back from Cresendo,Sai Yok Camp. What a fun-filled overseas experience and it was my first time feeling that im finally "doing something" in NS as i were manning the command post with other platoon mates. Although its pretty stress with all the high ranking officers around and all kinds of codewords flying in the net like "chipmunk in the water!" geez, there goes the chipmunk. If you didnt get what the "chipmunk in the water!" means, dont bother. It was encoded as chipmunk meant something else as we have this manual of codewords to be used during the transmission of messages so that the enemy will not understand what we are saying. The best thing in sai yok camp, is none other than their canteen! We might have the toughest day in camp, but taking a break in the canteen is the most heavenly thing you can do in thailand. The foods are nice and cheap. It comes in big portion as well! I really love the tom yum soup there, so so tasty. Gosh. Other than the food stalls, there are also a few "ma-ma shop" that sells all the clothes, lighters, hammocks, watches, etc. Bought a few tee shirt from them. Best of all, we had a signals polo tee made for the whole platoon. Cool lah, our name is on the right sleeve and the signals logo in the front. Heh. Miss my platoon. "Speed Through Skills, Signals!"
